The last two times I filled up my tank the total cost for my gas guzzling SUV was $99 dollars…not a penny more or a penny less. That’s pretty darn awful…right? What’s more awful, however, is what’s happened to the “value” of my monster car …also known as a GMC Yukon. About 8 months ago, my husband and I considered trading in our 2004 model for a newer version. We were offered xx dollars for the “trade in”. We opted to wait…as the car was in good shape with less than 40,000 miles on it. Last weekend we checked back with the same dealer…and surprise…surprise…they were now offering us 55 percent less for the trade in. The car is still in good shape…with not much more miles on it. Understandably, oil prices are up dramatically in that timeframe...making large SUVs far less desirable. But, a 55 percent price drop? Am I being gouged??

THAT IS JUST THE FACTS.
MY PLAN WOULD BE DRILL IN ANWAR, AND OFF THE COAST OF CALIF. AND FLORIDA OR ANYWHERE THE OIL COMPANYIES ARE SURE THERE IS OIL, I WOULD CONVERT CARS TO NATURAL GAS, FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE GEOTHERMO IN YELLOWSTONE TO POWER ELECTRIC.AND THAT IS JUST FOR STARTER , WAS THAT SO HARD , TELL THE POLITIANS TO GET THEIR THUMB OUT OF THERE BUTT START CUTTING RED TAPE NOW!!!!
I WANT MY SUV BACK !!! I DO NOT WANT A CAR ,I WANT TO GO FOURWHEELING AND HAVE FUN SEEING AMERICA THANK YOU
Am I being gouged?? ----- Maybe. But, then again maybe that's just the cost of education these days; tuition in the school of hard knocks (as well as in other colleges) seems to be going up as fast as gas. By the way, why did you buy a GMC Yukon in the first place? Was it luxurious, impressive; or do you feel so much safer in that over-sized thing? (Rollover problems aside, I suppose you would stand a much better chance of surviving a head-on against someone who happened to be driving a small compact fuel efficient car because they were actually concerned about the environment.) If I don't sound too sympathetic to your problem, it's because I'm not. No, I don't think you're being gouged. I think you just bought a valuable lesson.
