Melissa Harmon

Melissa is the senior producer of Nightly Business Report and is responsible for producing and supervising the daily newscast.
She has been with NBR for 12 years and has produced several award winning special editions of the program, including "Mint Condition" and "Square One: Building Your Investments." Before becoming NBR's senior producer, Melissa spent several years as its writer-producer. In 2001, Melissa won a National Press Foundation Fellowship to attend the Wharton School's 33rd Annual Seminar for Business Journalists.
During earlier years of her journalism career, Melissa worked as a radio news anchor and producer in Miami.
She is a Florida native with a B.S. in broadcast journalism from Florida International University. Melissa is currently pursuing a masters degree in business journalism.
