AND THE EMMY GOES TO…
Nightly Business Report wins at the Third Annual Emmy ® Awards for Business and
Finance Reporting
New York (November 8, 2005) – Nightly Business Report – the top-rated
and longest running daily business news program on television – was honored
at the third annual Emmy ® Awards for Business and Finance Reporting for Outstanding
Extended Coverage of a Business Story, for their series on "China's Emergence
as an International Economic Power".
The five part series focused on how the giant Asian nation is remaking itself and the challenges it faces. Wendie Feinberg served as Senior Producer, with Stephanie Dhue as Producer. Also receiving credit were Washington Bureau Chief Darren Gersh, New York Bureau Chief Scott Gurvey, Managing Editor Rodney Ward, and Reporter Nick Mackie. The award is the first for Nightly Business Report, and was one of two for PBS, which received 4 nominations overall.
