The Business of Music with Scott Gurvey

The digital age has transformed how music gets made and how artists get paid. Both unknown musicians and popular recording artists are distributing their music themselves over the Internet -- cutting out the major record labels out of the process. In this special series, NBR New York Bureau Chief Scott Gurvey details how technology is contributing to the failure of the music industry's basic business model, and talks with music executives to determine what business model will be used in the future.
