Nearly five years have passed since the events of 9/11 made terrorism a household word in the United States. As the anniversary of this defining moment in history approaches, NBR presents "Risk Factor" -- an in-depth examination of the Global War on Terror's impact on business and the economy.
Program Summary
"Risk Factor" begins with a look at the influence geopolitical risk has had and will continue to have on markets. Then NBR Anchor Susie Gharib guides experts from Goldman Sachs and Prudential Securities through an analysis of terrorism's impact on the American business landscape. "Risk Factor" also explores the rise of the homeland security industry, the transformation of the travel industry, and the increasing importance of crisis management. The program concludes with NBR Anchor Paul Kangas interviewing Sam Stovall of Standard and Poor's and Ernie Ankrim of Russell Investment Group about strategies for protecting portfolios during uncertain times.
