30 years ago, there were no daily business news programs on television...until Nightly Business Report came along and started a trend. NBR's first broadcast -- a 15 minute program produced by public television station WPBT -- was only seen in South Florida. But, NBR was soon picked up by PBS stations across the nation. The program's mix of objective business analysis and fast-paced market data quickly turned it into a trusted financial resource.
On January 22, 2009, we'll mark NBR's 30th Anniversary by ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange. We've also prepared this section of the website and a special edition of our January 22nd program. So, join us in celebrating our history.
