Sarbanes-Oxley: Five Years Later
Friday, April 06, 2007
| In
the spring of 2002, investors hit hard by massive frauds at Enron
and WorldCom lost confidence in the corporate accounting system. Congress
responded by passing the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Today, critics say the
well-intentioned “SarbOx” is actually making American
companies uncompetitive. In this Good Friday special, NBR looks at
the arguments for and against SarbOx. |
