U.S. Patent & Trademark Office

The Patent and Trademark Office is an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce. The agency's mission is "to promote the progress of science and the useful arts by securing for limited times to investors the exclusive right to their respective discoveries."

Copyright Alliance

The Copyright Alliance is "a non-profit, non-partisan educational organization dedicated to the value of copyright as an agent for creativity, jobs and growth." The organization's executive director, Patrick Ross, is a panel guest in NBR's "Copy Protection" special.
