CMS is part of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. This links to the section of the CMS website that offers "National Health Expenditure Data." On the site, you can learn facts like, "From 1965 to 2007, health spending as a percent of GDP has increased steadily from 5.9 percent to 16.2 percent."
Employee Benefits Research Institute (EBRI)
EBRI's mission is "to contribute to, to encourage, and to enhance the development of sound employee benefit programs and sound public policy through objective research and education."

OpenSecrets.org is the webstie of the Center for Responsive politics, a research group that tracks money in U.S. politics. This links to lobbying information the organization has collected for the health sector.
Pew Research Center
The Pew Research Center collects public opinion polling and social science research on "the issues, attitudes and trends shaping America and the world." This links to a July 24, 2009 Pew report titled, "Few See U.S. Health Care as 'Best in the World.'"
Urban Insitute
The Urban Institute is a non-profit organization that" investigates and analyzes U.S. social and economic problems and issues." This links to a report filed in the Health Policy Center section of the institute's website. The August 24, 2009 report is titled, "How Does the Quality of U.S. Health Care Compare Internationally?"
U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) (PDF Document)
The SBA is an independent federal agency that "helps Americans start, build and grow businesses." This links to an August 2005 report prepared for the SBA. The report is titled, "Cost of Employee Benefits in Small and Large Businesses." Page 15 of the report (Page 20 of the PDF) discusses health insurance costs.
U.S. Census Bureau
This links to the "Health Insurance" section of the Census Bureau's website. Here you can find the latest data on health insurance coverage in the U.S. For instance, you can find out that 15.4% of the U.S. population, or about 45.7 million individuals, were uninsured in 2008.
