As part of the annual "Investment Review & Preview" special airing January 1, 2009, NBR's Jeff Yastine asked five of its regular "Market Monitors" to predict how the market will move in 2009. Preview these experts' predictions below.

Abby's bullish on stocks in 2009, and expects U.S. stocks and high-quality corporate bonds to begin to pay off. She predicts the S&P will end the year at 1,150.

Mark is the bear of this bunch. He's looking to gold stocks and mutual funds in 2009. He sees the DJIA rising higher, but closing the year at just 6,500.
