CEPR conducts professional research and public education "to promote democratic debate on the most important ecomic and social issues." The organization's Co-Director, Dean Baker, is interviewed in Suzanne Pratt's "Signs of Stimulus" report. JP Morgan Chase (MP3 Audio)
JP Morgan Chase's Chief Economist, Bruce Kasman, is interviewed in Suzanne Pratt's "Signs of Stimulus" report. This links to a February 2009 podcast published on the JP Morgan website. In it, Kasman talks "about the grips and depth of the economic global downturn, the path to recover and a scenario for growth.
Moody's Economy.com
Moody's Economy.com "provides economic research and consulting services to businesses, governments and other institutions." The company's Chief Economist, Mark Zandi, is interviewed in Suzanne Pratt's "Signs of Stimulus" report. This links to a page on the Moody's Economy.com website that offers links to Zandi's analysis of the stimulus and his economic testimony before Congress.
OMB Watch
OMB Watch is a nonprofit research and advocacy organization focused on increasing government transparency and accountability. The organization's senior federal fiscal policy analyst, Craig Jennings, is interviewed in Stephanie Dhue's "Signs of Stimulus" report.
Princeton University
In "Signs of Stimulus," Susie Gharib interviews Alan Blinder, Economics Professor at Princeton and former Vice-chair of the Federal Reserve. This links to Blinder's official Princeton University website, which includes his bios as well as links to his research and publications.
Recovery.gov
The Obama Administration estabilished the Recovery.gov website to allow the public to track how stimulus money is spent. As Stephanie Dhue reports in "Signs of Stimulus," the website still does not offer as much detail about spending as originally planned.
State of Indiana
Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels is interviewed in "Signs of Stimulus." This links to the section of the State of Indiana website that details how stimulus funding is being spent within the state.
U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)
The Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Ray LaHood, is interviewed in "Signs of Stimulus." This links to the section of the DOT website focused on the Federal Highway Administration's role in the American REcovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The section contains information about grants and apportionment of funds.
U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO)
The GAO's "mission is to help improve the performance and assure the accountability of the federal government for the benefit of the American people." This links to a special section of the GAO's website titled, "Following the Money: GAO's Oversight of the Recovery Act." The site includes "bimonthly reviews on how funds are used by selected states and localities."
U.S. Representative Edolphus "Ed" Towns
Congressman Ed Towns (D - New York) is interviewed in Stephanie Dhue's "Signs of Stimulus" report. This links to an April 21, 2009 press release issued by Towns' office. The release is titled, "Congress Members Keep an Eye on New York Stimulus Funds."
