Thousands of couples are getting married because the three "8"s are good luck in many cultures. Wedding website theknot.com has seen a 400 percent increase in ceremonies scheduled for today. It's also the start of the Beijing Olympics, which kicked off at 8:08 p.m. China time. Still, others are trying their luck with lottery tickets, playing the numbers 888. Many states are expecting a huge increase in sales. And, Paul, the triple-eight won't roll around again until August 8, 2088.
KANGAS: And to top it all off, that's 80 years from now.
