"Last Word"-Salvation Army Gets Plastic
Wednesday, November 25, 2009SUSIE GHARIB: And finally with Thanksgiving tomorrow, it`s clear the holidays are here and that means those red Salvation Army kettles are popping up outside stores across the country. This year there could be more donations in those kettles. That`s because in some cities those kettles are going high tech, taking credit and debit cards for the first time ever. The Salvation Army says it made the move because people are carrying less cash and relying more on plastic. But Paul, if you want to push into those red kettles, they`ll take that too.
PAUL KANGAS: Don`t meddle with the kettle.
