KIDS & CASH - An Enterprise Village

Parents and teachers aren't the only ones working to improve the financial literacy of kids. A number of organizations have also made it part of their mission, including Junior Achievement. NBR Correspondent Jeff Yastine reports on one of Junior Achievement's major financial literacy efforts - JA Enterprise Village.

  • National Teen Resource Bureau (NTRB)
    NTRB is a website "designed by a few twenty-somethings and a select group of teenagers to help you determine the best way to handle money, buy a car, pay for college, and more." NTRB is a service of the National Endowment for Financial Education.
  • University of California Extension - Money Talks
    This is a "financial management web site for teens." The site includes videos, newsletters, and games for teens. It also has a question and answer feature.
  • Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE) (PDF Document)
    In this paper, the AFCPE analyzes the Money Talks curriculum developed by the University of California Extension. The paper includes valuable information about teaching financial literacy to kids.
