    College Sports Report offers football information, rankings, and commentary. This links to one of the website's features, called "College Football Coaches Compensation."   • Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics
    The Knight Commission was created by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, which is dedicated to improving journalism and communities. The commission monitors and reports on "progress in increasing presidential control and academic and financial integrity of athletics programs."     The NCAA promotes, governs, and adminsters college sports for all of its member colleges, universities, and conferences. This links to a copy of a 66-page letter authored by Dr. Myles Brand, president of the NCAA, on November 13, 2006 as a response to questions U.S. Representative William Thomas, then chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, had about coaching salaries and higher education spending.
