  • Consol Energy
    Consol Energy is one of the largest coal producers in the United States. Its operations include the mines in Southeastern Pennsylvania profiled in Stephanie Dhue's report. This links to more information about Consol's coal division.
  • Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA)
    The MSHA is a division of the U.S. Department of Labor. It is charged with enforcing health and safety hazards designed to eliminate accidents and hazards in the nation's mines.

    The NIOSH is a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
