Karen Dawisha and Bruce Parrot. The volume title is called "The Legacy
of History in Russia and the News States of Eurasia", edited by S.
Frederick Starr and published by M.E. Sharpe/Armonk, NY and London.
Kohut's survey of the scholarship on competing "claims" to the history
of Kyivan-Rus' is excellent and should be published as an offprint to
