As I have seen through my mother who is a first grade teacher in Idaho, the school districts' education association has worked together for pay increase steadily through the past years. They chose a spokesman to speak with the school board on teachers' pay increase. Eventually, they received an increase. But, only certain teachers were members of the education association. It seemed that the newer, younger teachers would have no part in it. The older teachers were the individuals who took an active part and worked for the pay increase together, for every teacher.
