The Online NewsHour developed a form for stations that want to offer RSS or podcast feeds of local content to their audience. It will create an XML file that can contain links or audio files and will alert subscribers when you update the feed.

What you need:

For RSS feeds: Headlines and descriptions of your news stories with a URL link. A general image is optional.

For podcasts: Headlines and descriptions of your news stories with a URL link, and a URL of the mp3 file you want to podcast. A general image is optional.

For both: Access to your server so that the file can be saved and uploaded. NOTE: The NewsHour will not host your feed.

Getting Started:

Print out the instructions and field descriptions.
