April 25, 2008 Statement on the Health of Jim Lehrer
On Wednesday, April 23, Jim Lehrer, anchor and executive editor of The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS, underwent a heart valve procedure at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. It was a complete success. Jim plans to be back at full speed and on the program within a few weeks.
