A Treasure by Michelangelo-in-Training for Texas Museum

The man who painted the Sistine Chapel was actually young once, copying the works of other masters before he became one himself. The "Kimbell Art Museum":https://www.kimbellart.org/index.aspx in Fort Worth, Texas, has just acquired a painting done by Michelangelo Buonarroti from when he was 12 or 13, showing St. Anthony being attacked and tormented by demons. The painting is adapted from a 15th century engraving by the German artist Martin Schongauer. It was purchased for an undisclosed sum from New York dealer Adam Williams, who had bought it last year from a private collector in Great Britain.
