Conversation: Arthur Phillips, Author of 'The Song Is You'

A middle-aged man walks into a bar one night, hears a woman singing, and his life is forever changed. That sounds like a song in itself, but it's the starting point for a new novel called "The Song Is You." Its author, Arthur Phillips, made a name for himself with his very first novel, "Prague," which became a national bestseller. That was followed by "The Egyptologist" and "Angelica." Phillips is 40; he grew up in Minneapolis and now lives in New York.
