Andrew Paes : Jeffrey, thanks for the interview with Elvis Costello. I am not that familiar with his music since his early stuff with the Attractions, he seems to be a real artist and troubadour with a great sense of humility and humanity. Andrew

PatMinNYC : That EC is the consummate entertainer/performer there is now doubt but he is also one of the most literate songwriter/musician/artists alive and on the planet at this time! By far one of the most entertaining recent evenings I've had this summer was seeing him and the Sugarcanes at a one night only sold out performance at The Beacon in NYC. He gives his audience more than their moneys worth and his clever and quick wit is always a treat. I'm very much looking forward to the complete interview. Thanks for doing it! //pm

sinclair : I've met Elvis and seen him play many many times. He is all that. Humble, gifted, poetic, sensitive and polite. WHen will the entire conversation air? Thank you!

DavidR : I very much admire ad appreciate Elvis Costello and his new album is a jewel. But I have a problem with the cost of tickets to his concerts. Merce Cunningham just died at 90 and the price of a ticket to a Merce event was never more than 40 to 50 bucks. To see Elvis Costello at any venue near me is at least 108 dollars per ticket which leaves me out. For a "humble artist" and man of the people, this pricing is not right.

Susan : David - price of tickets is set by concert promoters, not artists themselves. If your local promoter is gouging you out of that kind of cash, they must believe there's enough poor souls out there willing to fork over $108 to see Elvis - the band gets a flat fee, not a % of ticket sales.

David : "What's so funny bout peace, love and understanding?" Who today is delving below the skin on things of this significance? Elvis Costello is one of the greatest Classic rock artists, just 'listen to the radio'.
