Two weddings, one very large mid-life crisis and a lot of calamity. The new novel, "That Old Cape Magic," tells the story of English professor Jack Griffin, who is caught between childhood memories and unfulfilled promise, all coming together in coastal New England.

Its author is Richard Russo, who won the Pulitzer Prize for "Empire Falls" and wrote the screenplay for the HBO series. He's also well-known for numerous other popular and critically acclaimed novels, most recently "Bridge of Sighs."
