Here are some of this week's arts and culture headlines from public broadcasters around the nation:

Studebaker factory; photo by John Bower - John and Lynn Bower have been driving across Indiana together for 37 years. Together, they've published six books of John's photos, which concentrate on places and objects that have fallen by the wayside, including the Studebaker factory in South Bend pictured here. Indiana Public Media talks with Bower about finding beauty in decrepitude.

- On Saturday, PBS rolls out a new animated kids' show, 'Angellina Ballerina,' based on a 1983 children's book about a young mouse who wants to dance. For the series, producers consulted the artistic director of the American Ballet Company's junior company, who videotaped young dancers so that animators would give their prima ballerina perfect plies. In the show's live-action segments, young performers from New York will dance and play music, and talk about what they do.

- In Texas, one man is single handedly trying to transform the small town of Ben Wheeler by using arts to revive the downtown. KERA spends some time in Ben Wheeler and talks with Brooks Gremmels about the arts colony.

- Music, stories, art and food are all part of "Hobofest 2009" in Saranac Lake, N.Y., in the Adirondacks. Artist Peter Seward explains how Sunday's festival will celebrate the hobo lifestyle and embrace the railroad to North Country Public Radio.
