meb : It is impossible to comment on something like this. The subject is so magnificent, the dedication of these artists is so awesome, the gift to the American people is so breathtaking. 'Things that are real are given and received in Silence.' MB

Marion Tierney : I saw the first in the series last night and an anxiously awaiting the rest of the program. It was excellent. Ken does such a wonderful job with his photos and the history lesson that goes with the program. Keep up the good work

patrick gross : I was so excited when I found out about the new Ken Burns series,as a long time viewer and contributer to PBS/NPR.Ken Burns is the best of the best,as we all know, but I have to say I was dissapointed with this effort. As with any good documentary you need a detailed historical foundation. But with the national parks, the visuals are so important, and what better subject for HD!!I saw very little eye popping visuals.Further,I think there was too much focus on Yosemite,Yellowstone, and the Grand Canyon, with no mention of Utahs,Zion and Bryce national parks. Both are as grand and as "other worldly" as any on earth!!I am very passionate about the quality of PBS ,and I know my opinion will be respected.. Thank you,Patrick Gross
