Tuesday on the NewsHour, Jeffrey Brown reports on Austin City Limits as the PBS music program celebrates its 35th anniversary year -- making it the longest running music series in American television history:

Below, you can watch extended interviews with Austin City Limits executive producer Terry Lickona and musician Carolyn Wonderland, and performances by Ben Harper and the Relentless7, Pearl Jam, the Dave Matthews Band and Johnny Cash from his legendary 1987 show.

Also, be sure to check out Austin City Limits online, where you can watch many more performances from that famous wooden stage. And as always, check your local listings for when Austin City Limits airs in your area.

Miles : None of your music videos have the audio and visual in-time with one another, and it's very frustrating. You have great material to work with here, but it's near unwatchable with the tracks being off so badly. I really hope you have the opportunity to correct this in the next couple of days, because I would really like to share these videos with a great number of my friends who experienced ACL the last few years. Thanks.

Art Beat Editor Author Profile Page : Miles, Sorry you're having problems with the videos. We're looking into the problem. As a temporary solution until we fix the issue, try letting the video play for 10 seconds, then pull the play cursor back to the start. Sorry about this.

Carolyn : The first video loaded for me, no problem. However, the rest of the videos won't load. Is it just my computer?

Allen : Let's try this again. It was great being able to see the extended interview clips with Carolyn Wonderland. What she said about the power of past performers coming from the stage is true. At 36 years and running as the longest Blues bar in the same location in the US, The Zoo Bar here in Lincoln, NE has that very same aura to it's stage. At a capacity of 140 people, and the ability to stand around three sides of the low stage inches from the performers, The Zoo Bar has an ambiance and personalness of performing for friends sitting in the livingroom. For the late Luther Allison, The Zoo Bar was undisputedly his favorite place to play, and his second to last performance before passing away was at The Zoo, and was recorded and telecast by PBS affiliate NETV. Over the years on that stage past and current greats like Buddy Guy and Junior Wells, Albert Collins, Koko Taylor, Chris Gaffney, Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Magic Slim, Jimmy Vaughn, Robert Cray, Indigenous, Chris Cain, Charlie Musslewhite, Tab Benoit, John Nemeth, Ana Popovic, Roomful of Blues, E.C. Scott, Dave Alvin, Billy Bacon, Coco Montoya, Tinsley Ellis, Curtis Salgado, and Candye Kane, just to barely scratch the surface, have made multiple appearances here over the years. Carolyn Wonderland appeared here at The Zoo Bar this spring, and it was a powerful, inspired performance that left us wanting more when she finally finished both sets. I hope she was able to draw on the "mojo" of our stage, and is willing to return as we are to have her back.

Art Beat Editor Author Profile Page : Again, Sorry about the syncing issues. We are trying very hard to figure out why it works for some people and not others. One remedy seems to be to let the video fully load before watching.
