Wednesday on the PBS NewsHour, a conversation with Rocco Landesman, the former Broadway producer who became the chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts this past August. Landesman earned his doctorate in dramatic literature at the Yale School of Drama, where he later taught before leaving to start a private investment fund. But he decided he wanted to return to his first love: theater. His other passions -- baseball, horse racing and country music -- are taking a back seat these days to his leading role at the NEA. Jeffrey Brown recently sat down with Landesman to talk about his 'Art Works' vision. Here's their conversation: |
