In two weeks, the Senate will begin Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Solicitor General Elena Kagan, who earlier in her career was a clerk for Justice Thurgood Marshall.

Marshall's legacy will surely resurface during the hearings, which begin June 28. Meantime, theater goers have been able to see actor Laurence Fishburne channel the famous jurist onstage in the play "Thurgood," at Washington's Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, which opens in Los Angeles at the Geffen Playhouse on June 27.
