Using a marker and a copy of the New York Times, Kleon blacks out words to reveal the ones he likes. Kleon works as a web designer in Austin, Texas, but manages to draw and write in his free time. His first book of poetry, "Newspaper Blackout," was published in April 2010.

Editor's Note: We will have a profile of Austin Kleon as part of the NewsHour Poetry Series soon.
