Coming to international prominence only in the last five years, the bestselling Norwegian author Per Petterson has just had his newest novel translated into English. "I Curse the River of Time" takes place in Norway in the 1970s and 80s and deals with the relationship between an ailing mother and her (not really) grown-up son.

Coming soon, Jeffrey Brown talks to Petterson about his new work, how he became a writer and how English language readers often miss out on a world of untranslated literature.
