A truck painter paints the finishing detail onto the bodywork of a truck at master painter Hussain Noor's workshop in Rawalpindi. Colorful and intricately painted trucks are a tradition in Pakistan. The practice of decorating trucks has its roots in the days of the raj when craftsmen made colourful horse drawn carriages for the gentry. Different regions developed their own styles over time and some decorations served as reminders of home for drivers on long journeys. Workshop owner Noor, 58, has been painting trucks for 43 years and one of his trucks is displayed in a museum in Germany. Photo by Carl De Souza/ AFP/ Getty Images
