Guitar Hero, the popular video game that lets players simulate shredding on plastic guitars, will stop production, via the Associated Press.

In Italy, nine people are being questioned as part of an investigation into the damage sustained at the Pompeii archaeological site, via the Art Newspaper.

After news stories this week wondered whether the city of Los Angeles is really able to invest in the upkeep of the Watts Towers, the James Irvine Foundation says it will donate $500,000 to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to help with conservation of the monumental art work, via the Los Angeles Times. The totaly restoration costs of the towers is estimated at $5 million.

The fate of Scotland's only traditional music school, which teaches fiddle, bagpipe and accordion, is at question, after one budget decision completely eliminated its funding, while the government pledged to keep supporting it, via the Guardian.

A nurse-in protest is scheduled for Saturday at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, organized by mothers to affirm their legal right to nurse their babies in public, via the Washington Post. In January, a mother was told she could not nurse on a museum bench and was told to stop.

The Grammy Awards will be held Sunday in Los Angeles. The New York Times highlights a push to make the ceremony more social media-centric.
