Once slated for auction, the Polaroid collection has been purchased as a whole by a Viennese museum so that it will not be broken up, via AFP.

On Monday, an Italian official offered a resolution dispute with the Getty Museum over ownership rights to an ancient bronze by offering to share it with the Los Angeles institution, but the Getty turned down the idea since the matter is in litigation, via The Wall Street Journal.

Farley Granger, perhaps a stranger today to many moviegoers, but a star in Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train, among others, has died at age 85, via The Guardian.
