Tree in Germany Blooms 9,800 Easter Eggs

Forty-six years ago, Kraft decided to decorate the small sapling with a few plastic eggs, but as time passed and the tree grew, the eggs became much more elaborate. Some of the eggs are painted, some have crocheted wraps, some are covered in sequins and others have carefully drilled holes that form patterns in the eggshell. Kraft has enlisted the help of his entire family in the effort. It takes them two weeks to hang all 9,800 of them.
