As Photographer, Moby Captures His Unique Vision of Normal Life

For most people in the world, the experience of standing on a stage surrounded by thousands of cheering fans would make for a fairly extraordinary day. For Moby, a musician and DJ who has sold more than 20 million records worldwide, it's normal. "I wanted to document what it's like to be on the receiving end of that," said the musician. "Because it's odd." Moby says he has been taking photos as long as he's been playing music. On Monday, he released a new album and book of photographs called "_Destroyed_":http://destroyed.moby.com/, created while he was on tour, composed on sleepless nights in hotel rooms. Moby was on hand at the National Geographic Society in Washington earlier this month, where he showed his photographs and talked to Art Beat.
