"Harry Potter" series author J.K. Rowling announced Thursday that a new interactive website, Pottermore.com, will be the exclusive seller of the e-book editions. It's an unwelcome surprise for the traditional stores that helped sell hundreds of millions of Potter novels, via the Associated Press.

Andy Warhol's missing $30 million portrait of Farrah Fawcett was discovered on actor Ryan O'Neal's wall on his reality show, via Artinfo.

The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is closing for six months for renovations starting next year. Seventy-five of the Dutch impressionist's works will move to the Hermitage Amsterdam museum during the work, scheduled to last from October 2012 through March 2013, via the AP.

Galleries at the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in New York City will close July 4 for a two-year renovation and expansion, via the New York Times.

Philadelphia's Barnes Foundation begins its controversial relocation July 3 to a new building down the street from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, via the Wall Street Journal.
