*Here are four arts and culture videos from public broadcasting partners around the nation.* In PBS' most recent installment of its "Off Book" series, ["Generative Art - Computers, Data, and Humanity,"](http://www.pbs.org/arts/gallery/off-book-episode-10-generative-art/off-book-episode-10-generative-art/) programmers, artists and philosophers delegate essential creative decisions to computers, data sets or even random variables. "Off Book" explores how this creative process allows "important metaphors to arise in their work, calling attention to the relationship between humans and the computers that surround us."

Chaka M'kali is a well-known muralist and graffiti artist, as well as a noted hip-hop performer. He also serves as arts programming coordinator at [Hope Community](http://www.hope-community.org/) in Minneapolis, where he creates programs for youth ages 14 and up. TPT's Minnesota Original [profiles M'kali's murals](http://www.mnoriginal.org/art/?p=9816), which he uses to tell stories that speak to the community, begin public discourse and inspire hope.


Gabriel Kahane is a musician on the front lines of combining old school pop music with strong influences from the indie classical genre. Kahane, along with a string quartet and an electric guitarist, recently played a tiny desk concert at NPR Music.
