Conversation: 2012 Whitney Biennial

The 2012 edition of the [Whitney Biennial](http://whitney.org/Exhibitions/2012Biennial) opened earlier this month at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Long viewed as a window into the current state of the contemporary art world, the biennial this year includes works across all genres -- sculpture, painting, installations, photography, dance, theater, music and film -- from lesser-known and well-known artists. Earlier Friday, I spoke to the curators of the biennial, Elisabeth Sussaman, curator of photography at the Whitney, and independent curator Jay Sanders, about the show:
