On the NewsHour: Poet Katherine Larson

[Katherine Larson](http://www.poetryfoundation.org/bio/katherine-larson)'s poetry melds her love for language with her passion for scientific inquiry. "Poetry for me is a place of encounter," she says. "It's a space in which disparate elements can come into relation with each other." Larson won the 2010 [Yale Younger Poets Prize](http://yalepress.yale.edu/book.asp?isbn=9780300169201) and the 2012 [Kate Tufts Discovery Award](http://www.cgu.edu/pages/8613.asp) for her book "Radial Symmetry." She is also the recipient of a [Ruth Lilly Poetry Fellowship](http://www.poetryfoundation.org/foundation/prizes_fellowship).
