Poulin Jr. First Book Prize from BOA Editions. Hugh served in Iraq for 11 months. After returning, he obtained an MFA from Arizona State and he is a Stegner Fellow at Stanford University.

After fleeing to Lebanon during the Arab-Israeli war of 1948, Muhammad Ali and his family settled in Nazareth where they have lived since. He and his sons have been operating a souvenir shop there for decades. Muhammad Ali died on Sunday, October 2 in Nazareth.
