Employees at the Museum Volkenkunde install the Terracotta Warriors on Monday in Leiden, the Netherlands. An upcoming exhibition at the ethnology museum showcases the archaeological objects, which were buried in the tomb of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang in 210-209 B.C. The clay soldiers were meant to depict the emperor’s army and to guard him in the afterlife. The exhibit opens Friday. Photo by Koen van Weel/AFP/Getty Images.
