LouisianaElectricity RatesResidential = 7 cents/kwh (National ranking: 30) Commerical = 7 cents/kwh Industrial = 4 cents/kwh(National ranking: 25) kwh = kilowatt hour1st ranking = highest rate in catagory DeregulationLouisiana has chosen not to deregulate it energy industry at this time. In January of this year, state regulators said residential and small business competition was not in the public interest.
