Deregulation

New Hampshire expects to implement its deregulation plan in April 2001. The plan, which calls for rate cuts and divestiture of generation facilities, was the subject of a three-year dispute that eventually went to the state Supreme Court. The court upheld the Public Service of New Hampshire restructuring plan in January 2001.
