Residential = 14 cents/kwh (National ranking: 2)

Commerical = 12 cents/kwh
(National ranking: 2)

Industrial = 5 cents/kwh(National ranking: 13)

kwh = kilowatt hour
1st ranking = highest rate in catagory

Deregulation

New York started phasing in deregulation in 1998. The deadline for customers to choose an electricity supplier depends on the deregulation plans of individual utilities. Customers in some areas will receive credit for switching to a new supplier.
