Deregulation

Wisconsin has not deregulated its power industry and no immediate plans for restructuring in terms of retail competition. The Public Service Commission has instead focused recently on Wisconsin's electricity infrastructure. Legislative measures enacted and considered since 1998 address improved reliability and plant construction with an eye towards possible deregulation in the future.
