On last night's NewsHour, Paul examined the debate raging over which shape the economic recovery might take. Some economists are predicting a V-shaped recovery -- a steep period of decline followed by an equally steep period of growth. Others are predicting an L-shaped trajectory -- steep decline followed by a period of stagnation. Still others are saying we'll see a recovery shaped like a W or a U. And other symbols are even getting in on the game, with George Soros making the case for an "inverted square root sign"-shaped recovery. It's a veritable alphabet soup of possibilities. Check it out. -- Posted June 24, 2009 | Comments (0) | Permalink
