Peggy Noonan wrote the essay on Ronald Reagan for the book Character Above All, published earlier this year by Simon & Schuster. She also participated in the Character Above All program on PBS.
Ms. Noonan was a speechwriter for President Reagan and Vice President Bush. She is the author of What I Saw at the Revolution: A Political Life in the Reagan Era and Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
She lives in New York.
