Dear Neighbor:
Philadelphia is filled with excitement. The Republican Party is united behind George W. Bush. There is tremendous respect for Dick Cheney and I believe that this war will be won. It is truly refreshing to see such strong and broad support for the candidates.
The media is trying to divide the party by suggesting that many do not go along with the pro-life position. However, although I may be pro-choice, I am strongly supporting Gov. Bush and Sec. Cheney. One issue cannot divide an entire party. For as long as I have lived, I have never known any man to be perfect. Neither party has all the right answers to all the problems.
The Republican Party is making an enormous effort to broaden its base and to include all people. I am impressed with this effort and believe it will produce the strongest Republican party this nation has ever seen. Let’s not forget which party stood to end slavery and continues to defend the principles of this nation and the Constitution.
In these good times, after many years of policy reform by such great leaders as Ronald Reagan, George Herbert Walker Bush, Bob Dole and Newt Gingrich, this nation has worked to end the days of the bloated federal government. It has ended the federal deficit and equipped us to lead the world well into the 21st century. Gov. Bush’s desire to leave no child behind is admirable and it is Republican policies that have put this nation in such an enviable position so we can afford these social advances.
I am proud of George W. Bush and Secretary Cheney, whom I find to be a most admirable and honorable man, with enviable respect on both sides of the aisle. I believe they are our choice to restore dignity to the White House and to lead this country into the future.
Until next time…
Gratefully,
Jason J. Nastke
