Supercross a Super Sport Sensation
by Bryan Tannehill, Age 17

Your sitting on a machine that is full of power just itching to be released.

Your surrounded by other machines of different colors.

The gate drops you dump the clutch and hold on. You have to get to the corner without crashing.

This is just the beginning of a Supercross race.

The excitement is just as much in the stands as fans cheer on their favorite riders.

Gas fumes and screams fill the air as the riders hurdle jumps soaring many feet into the air.

There's just enough time to bust out big time stunts to fuel the crowd even more.

One mistake and BOOM your in the back of the pack, or worse your on the sideline with a busted bike or body.

Making Millions

The riders in this sports are in their teens to late twenties. A select few are factory riders. They make MILLIONS a year, and they have the best
equipment all provided free of charge.

The tracks are constructed in sports arenas. They turn football fields into tracks full of hazardous obstacles in days, then they tear back down and the football field looks just like new.

This sport is gaining popularity quickly as Super-Star Riders such as Jermey "Showtime" McGrath make huge marketing deals with large corporations.

Some say these corporate tie-ins are ruining the sport. I
think it is just promoting even more.

So, The next time you here about a Supercross on T.V. or in your area, Check It OUT. Then, You will be hooked just like the rest of us Super Supercross fans.
